The comeback of Kiki

A game of broken contracts — 34 of them around the table, and scores from 105 all the way down to 76.

The tail of the table: Elena, with 76 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. After the first of the closing eights, Elena was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Mihai, with 85 points. Mihai was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand.

Ana led for 12 hands but finished second, 18 points behind. Ana got past Mihai at the very last hand. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ana didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Kiki crossed the finish line first, on 105 points. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. Going into the last hand the lead was already 28 — that one was a lap of honour.
