Gigel comes back from behind

The lead changed hands 8 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.
2 points. That's all. Gigel won in the blink of an eye — so don't blink. It didn't start well — only 5th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
Ilinca finished second, just 2 points short of the win. 9 good hands in a row — at one point, Ilinca was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
Third, on the podium: unf0rgettable, up there with eyes on the top step. unf0rgettable got past Mara at the very last hand. unf0rgettable was even in front after the second of the middle eights.
Mara finished 4th with 86 points. In the third of the middle eights: Mara said 1, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Vyce. Mara was ahead of unf0rgettable right up to the last hand.
Vyce took last place without any nerves at all, on 69 points. Top of the table after the seven-card hand on the way down, then straight to the bottom. The plan at home didn't match the one at the table. In the first of the closing eights: Vyce said 1, scooped 4, and Gigel and Mara were left counting the pieces.
Well played everyone — and especially Gigel!
