The comeback of Luis

The lead passed from hand to hand, 8 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 72 points. Somebody had to do it. Before the last eights, only 8 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.

Nico completed the podium with 77 points. Nico was ahead of Cristian Imparat right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: only Nico slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Nico.

Second place went to Cristian Imparat, with 79 points. The last hand decided it: Cristian went past Nico right on the line. In the first of the opening eights, Cristian bid 2 and took 6 — and Luis went down with it.

Luis won the game with 86 points. In the third of the closing eights: Luis called 1, took 4, and Cristian Imparat was left out in the cold. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
