Mihai comes back from behind

The lead changed hands 4 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Champion of the evening: Mihai, with 113 points. The rest, see you in the replay. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Radu took the runner-up spot with 103 points. In the first of the closing eights, Radu bid 0 and took 3 — and Gigel went down with it.

Third, and on the podium: Nico, with 97 points. In the third of the middle eights: Nico said 2, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Gigel. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Nico plays right down to the last card.

Elena finished 4th with 88 points. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Elena didn't — but insisted, with dignity. After the first of the closing eights, Elena was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Gigel closes out the table, with 78 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. Gigel had the table at their feet after the three-card hand on the way down. Whist was there to remind them nothing lasts forever. 2 hands in a row: Gigel broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.
