Luis takes the table
4 players · 25 October 2026
An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 111 down to 46.
Luis wins by 22 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. At one stretch, 11 good hands in a row. And that despite a slip in the very last hand. Luis cried laughing 4 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.
10plus led for 8 hands but finished second, 22 points behind. 10plus said they'd take nothing in the four-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.
PaulP rounds out the podium with 61 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: PaulP broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. In the first of the closing eights, 2 chairs flew at PaulP within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.
Codrin took last place without any nerves at all, on 46 points. In the second of the opening eights: Codrin said 2, scooped 5, and PaulP was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Codrin didn't — but insisted, with dignity. In the third of the closing eights the table couldn't make up its mind about Codrin: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew in within seconds 🪑💋.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
