The comeback of Ana

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 29 points. Leading by the book until the last of the opening eights... then the cards turned the page. Ionela, hard luck. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ionela said and... hoped. It didn't hold. The three-card hand on the way down: 2 chairs thrown at Ionela in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Emi completed the podium with 61 points. Emi swore 0 in the seven-card hand on the way down and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Luis led for 10 hands but finished second, 28 points behind. In the third of the middle eights: Luis called 3, took 6, and Emi and Ionela were left out in the cold.

Ana wins by 28 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. In the last of the closing eights: Ana said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Luis. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
