The comeback of Adrian

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Roua took last place without any nerves at all, on 0 points. In the five-card hand on the way up: Roua called 0, took 4, and Adrian Gh and Ana were left out in the cold.

Radu finished 5th with 92 points. After the second of the closing eights, Radu was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Ana finished 4th with 98 points. Ana was ahead of Ionela right up to the last hand. After the two-card hand on the way up, Ana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, on the podium: Ionela, up there with eyes on the top step. Ionela got past Ana at the very last hand.

Second place for Elena, with 129 points. So close to the top they can still taste it — bittersweet. In the first of the opening eights, Elena bid 2 and took 5 — and Radu went down with it. Elena was even in front after the second of the middle eights.

Adrian Gh gathered 135 points and the hearts of the crowd. Bravo! It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
