The comeback of Elena

A game of broken contracts — 40 of them around the table, and scores from 91 all the way down to 51.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 51 points. Somebody had to do it. Top of the table after the seven-card hand on the way down, then straight to the bottom. The plan at home didn't match the one at the table. Level on points with Daniela, and behind only on the tie-break.

Third, on the podium: Daniela, up there with eyes on the top step. In the six-card hand on the way up: Daniela said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Elena and Vyce. Daniela was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Vyce finishes second, 8 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. Vyce spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.

Elena won the game with 91 points. 8 good hands in a row — at one point, Elena was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
