Elena, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 39 slips at the table and scores from 104 down to 44.

Elena won at a stroll, with 104 points and 21 clear of the rest. In the second of the closing eights: Elena said 0, scooped 3, and Kiki was left counting the pieces. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Cristi took second with 83 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Cristi swore 0 in the first of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Kiki rounds out the podium with 56 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: Kiki broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. Kiki cried laughing 3 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Pity closed the table from the back, on 44 points — there is always a next game. 2 hands in a row: Pity broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. Before the last eights, only 5 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold. In the six-card hand on the way down, 2 chairs flew at Pity within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.

Well played everyone — and especially Elena!
