Florentin never gave up the lead

Last, but with style: Daniela, with 59 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. In the first of the closing eights: Daniela said 0, made 3, and the evening was ruined for Florentin. After the five-card hand on the way up, Daniela was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Vyce rounds out the podium with 73 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the second of the closing eights, Vyce bid 1 and took 4 — and 3 others went down with them.

Cozo took second with 83 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: Cozo broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. Cozo spent a long time on the red lantern and came out clean — determined not to buy the round.

Florentin finishes on 115 points, 32 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In front from the first of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 10 good hands in a row — at one point, Florentin was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
