The comeback of Ana

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Cretu, with 84 points. In the five-card hand on the way down, Cretu bid 1 and took 4 — and Gigel went down with it. Cretu was even in front after the last of the opening eights. Cretu cried laughing 3 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Ana crossed the finish line first, on 100 points. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.
