Luis comes back from behind

7 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Luis wins by 31 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 6 good hands in a row. Luis cried laughing 4 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

Ionela took second with 66 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. The last hand decided it: Ionela went past Laura right on the line. Ionela was even in front after the six-card hand on the way down.

Third, on the podium: Laura, up there with eyes on the top step. In the third of the opening eights: Laura said 3, scooped 6, and Roua was left counting the pieces. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Laura didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Last place, with dignity: Roua, with 59 points. Somebody had to do it. After the three-card hand on the way up, Roua was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
