The comeback of Elena

A game of broken contracts — 36 of them around the table, and scores from 93 all the way down to 63.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 63 points. Started like a champion — top of the table after the last of the opening eights — and finished like a tragedy. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Third, on the podium: Ana, up there with eyes on the top step. Ana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Second place went to edge, with 85 points. In the second of the closing eights, edge bid 3 and took 6 — and Elena went down with it. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: edge plays right down to the last card.

Champion of the evening: Elena, with 93 points. The rest, see you in the replay. In the first of the opening eights: Elena called 2, took 5, and edge was left out in the cold. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
