Denisa, from start to finish

Another evening at the green baize, and it had a bit of everything.

Denisa finishes on 149 points, 30 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In front from the third of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Daniel S took second with 119 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 10 good hands in a row — at one point, Daniel was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Third, on the podium: Cretu, up there with eyes on the top step. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Cretu didn't — but insisted, with dignity. The second of the middle eights: 2 chairs thrown at Cretu in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.

Mara finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 4th, with 107 points. After the five-card hand on the way up, Mara was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Alice in 5th, with 102 points. The comfort zone. Alice swore 0 in the six-card hand on the way down and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

unf0rgettable took last place without any nerves at all, on 87 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, unf0rgettable was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
