Mihai led for 11 hands but finished second, 4 points behind. Mihai swore 0 in the two-card hand on the way up and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Third, on the podium: Cretu, up there with eyes on the top step. In the last of the middle eights: Cretu said 2, scooped 5, and Ana was left counting the pieces.

Ana took last place without any nerves at all, on 28 points. 2 hands in a row: Ana broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.
