Luis never gave up the lead

A game of broken contracts — 37 of them around the table, and scores from 113 all the way down to 64.

Last, but with style: Ana, with 64 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. In the second of the opening eights: Ana said 2, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Elena. Ana was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand.

Elena completed the podium with 71 points. The last hand decided it: Elena went past Ana right on the line. 4 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena.

Mihai took second with 80 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Luis finishes on 113 points, 33 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 11 good hands in a row — at one point, Luis was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
