The comeback of Carmen

The lead passed from hand to hand, 7 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Emi in 5th, with 103 points. The comfort zone. In the fifth of the middle eights, Emi bid 1 and took 5 — and Ana and Carmen went down with them. In the first of the closing eights, 2 chairs flew at Emi within seconds 🪑 — the table had opinions.

In 4th place, Nico, on 109 points. Nico was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: Nico broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, on the podium: Mihai, up there with eyes on the top step. Mihai got past Nico at the very last hand. In the third of the closing eights: Mihai said 0, made 3, and the evening was ruined for Ana and Carmen.

Elena finished second, just 2 points short of the win. Elena was even in front after the last of the middle eights.

2 points. That's all. Carmen won in the blink of an eye — so don't blink. At one stretch, 9 good hands in a row. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
