Emi takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 35 slips at the table and scores from 107 down to 56.

Emi wins by 22 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

Daniela took second with 85 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the first of the opening eights: Daniela called 3, took 6, and unf0rgettable was left out in the cold. 3 hands in a row: Daniela broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, and on the podium: unf0rgettable, with 81 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, unf0rgettable said and... hoped. It didn't hold. At one stretch, 13 good hands in a row.

Nico took last place without any nerves at all, on 56 points. In the five-card hand on the way down: Nico said 1, scooped 4, and unf0rgettable was left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Nico didn't — but insisted, with dignity.
