Luis never gave up the lead

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 60 points. In the seven-card hand on the way down: Ionela said 4, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Luis and Mihai. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ionela didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Laura completed the podium with 79 points. 2 hands in a row: only Laura slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Laura.

Mihai took second with 92 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. In the third of the closing eights: Mihai said 0, made 3, and the evening was ruined for Ionela. At one stretch, 8 good hands in a row.

Luis took the game with 116 points and a 24-point cushion — never really in doubt. In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
