Mihai, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 35 slips at the table and scores from 124 down to 54.

Mihai finishes on 124 points, 24 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In front from the third of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, Mihai was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Kiki took second with 100 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. A quiet finish: far from the place above, safe from the one below.

Ana rounds out the podium with 62 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 3 hands in a row: Ana broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Last, but with style: Elena, with 54 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. After the two-card hand on the way up, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Well played everyone — and especially Mihai!
