The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.
Teo won the game with 126 points. 17 good hands in a row — at one point, Teo was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
TaNE took the runner-up spot with 119 points. The last hand decided it: TaNE went past Padre right on the line. 2 hands in a row: only TaNE slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but TaNE.
Padre rounds out the podium with 115 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the fourth of the opening eights: Padre called 2, took 5, and MAGA was left out in the cold. Padre was ahead of TaNE right up to the last hand.
CATA finished 4th with 114 points. CATA got past Edy at the very last hand. The place above was a single point away.
In 5th place, Edy, on 112 points. Edy was ahead of TaNE right up to the last hand. After the two-card hand on the way up, Edy was leading the table — but the last hands had other plans.
MAGA closes out the table, with 106 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. 2 hands in a row: only MAGA slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but MAGA.
Well played everyone. Same table next time?
