Elena comes back from behind

Another evening at the green baize, and it had a bit of everything.

First place: Elena, with 132 points. In the second of the middle eights: Elena said 4, made 7, and the evening was ruined for Radu. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Radu led for 11 hands but finished second, 12 points behind. Radu left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Third, on the podium: Nico, up there with eyes on the top step. Nico got past Mihai at the very last hand.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Mihai in 4th, with 88 points. The comfort zone. 3 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai. Mihai was ahead of Nico right up to the last hand.

Pity closes out the table, with 83 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. Pity swore 0 in the third of the opening eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
