Daniel comes back from behind

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 43 slips at the table and scores from 76 down to 56.

Daniel S won by a whisker, with just 1 point — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.

edge finished second, just 1 point short of the win. The place above was a single point away.

Daniela rounds out the podium with 73 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the third of the opening eights: Daniela called 4, took 7, and edge was left out in the cold. 7 good hands in a row — at one point, Daniela was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards. Daniela cried laughing 5 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Laura took last place without any nerves at all, on 56 points. Leading by the book until the last of the opening eights... then the cards turned the page. Laura, hard luck. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Laura didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
