The comeback of Emi

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 68 points. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Mihai didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Elena rounds out the podium with 93 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Ana finished second, just 1 point short of the win. In the last of the closing eights: Ana said 1, scooped 4, and Mihai was left counting the pieces. Ana was ahead of Emi right up to the last hand.

Emi won by a whisker, with just 1 point — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. Emi only went in front at the very last hand. In the third of the closing eights, Emi bid 2 and took 5 — and Mihai went down with it.
