The comeback of Elena

The lead changed hands 6 times — nobody got comfortable at the top.

Last place, with dignity: Radu, with 84 points. Somebody had to do it. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Radu didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

In 5th place, Nico, on 87 points. Nico swore 0 in the first of the middle eights and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Ioana finished 4th with 114 points. After the seven-card hand on the way up, Ioana was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, on the podium: Mihai, up there with eyes on the top step. Mihai was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand. At one stretch, 15 good hands in a row.

Ana finished second, just 1 point short of the win. Ana was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand. Ana was even in front after the six-card hand on the way up.

1 point. That's all. Elena won in the blink of an eye — so don't blink. Elena only went in front at the very last hand. It didn't start well — only 5th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.
