The lead kept changing — Elena came out on top

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Last place: Mihai, with 62 points. Mihai was ahead of Ionela right up to the last hand. After the two-card hand on the way up, Mihai was leading the table — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Ionela, with 69 points. Ionela got past Mihai at the very last hand. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ionela said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Luis finishes second, 10 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. Luis was even in front after the last of the opening eights. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Luis plays right down to the last card.

First place, no appeal: Elena, with 86 points. In the second of the middle eights: Elena called 2, took 5, and Mihai was left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: only Elena slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Elena.
