Mihai, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 110 down to 62.

Mihai took the game with 110 points and a 26-point cushion — never really in doubt. In front from the third of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about.

Elena took second with 84 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Third, on the podium: MrXciting, up there with eyes on the top step. At one stretch, 7 good hands in a row.

Ana took last place without any nerves at all, on 62 points. In the second of the opening eights, Ana bid 1 and took 4 — and MrXciting went down with it. 4 hands in a row: only Ana slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Ana.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
