The comeback of Radu

5 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Last place, with dignity: Daniela, with 81 points. Somebody had to do it. In the fourth of the opening eights: Daniela said 1, scooped 5, and Catalin and Mihai were left counting the pieces. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Daniela said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

In 5th place, CCC, on 85 points. One card, a single card, and CCC still got it wrong on the one-card hand. It happens even in the best houses.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Elena in 4th, with 114 points. The comfort zone. 2 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs. After the three-card hand on the way up, Elena was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Catalin, with 116 points. Catalin was ahead of Mihai right up to the last hand. Catalin was even in front after the first of the closing eights.

Mihai led for 12 hands but finished second, 1 point behind. Mihai got past Catalin at the very last hand. The place above was a single point away.

1 point. That's all. Radu won in the blink of an eye — so don't blink. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
