The lead kept changing — PaulP came out on top
4 players · 5 October 2026
The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.
The tail of the table: Alina, with 69 points. Somebody has to hold the candle. The table was Alina's after the two-card hand on the way down; the second half had other ideas. The third of the closing eights: 1 chair and 1 kiss flew at Alina 🪑💋 — the table couldn't decide whether it adored them.
Luis completed the podium with 76 points. In the four-card hand on the way up: Luis called 0, took 3, and Gigel was left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: only Luis slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Luis.
Gigel took second with 80 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Gigel was even in front after the three-card hand on the way up. Gigel spent a good while in last place and climbed out of it.
PaulP wins by 21 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band.
Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
