A tug of war, won by Cristian

5 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

Cristian Imparat won by a whisker, with just 2 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. Cristian only went in front at the very last hand. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Cristian said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Radu finished second, just 2 points short of the win. In the third of the opening eights: Radu called 1, took 7, and 3 others were left out in the cold. Radu was ahead of Cristian Imparat right up to the last hand.

Ana rounds out the podium with 105 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: Ana went past Mihai right on the line. Ana was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Mihai in 4th, with 99 points. The comfort zone. In the second of the opening eights, Mihai bid 2 and took 5 — and Elena went down with it. Mihai was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand.

Elena finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 90 points. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.
