Lucky never gave up the lead

A game of broken contracts — 39 of them around the table, and scores from 95 all the way down to 58.

Last place, with dignity: Mihai, with 58 points. Somebody had to do it. In the last of the middle eights: Mihai said 5, made 8, and the evening was ruined for Elena. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Mihai didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Lucky crossed the finish line first, on 95 points. In front from the second of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. Going into the last hand the lead was already 22 — that one was a lap of honour.
