Ionela takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 108 down to 47.

Ionela finishes on 108 points, 22 above the next — the rest were playing a different game, it seems. In the second of the opening eights: Ionela called 3, took 6, and Daniela was left out in the cold. 13 good hands in a row — at one point, Ionela was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Luis took second with 86 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Luis was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

crista rounds out the podium with 71 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. 2 hands in a row: crista broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Daniela took last place without any nerves at all, on 47 points. The table was Daniela's after the six-card hand on the way down; the second half had other ideas. In the six-card hand on the way up: Daniela called 2, took 5, and Luis and crista were left out in the cold.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
