Elena comes back from behind

5 changes of leader: this one was a tug of war.

First place: Elena, with 112 points. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. At one stretch, 11 good hands in a row.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Mihai, with 102 points. Mihai was even in front after the third of the middle eights.

Ana rounds out the podium with 101 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The place above was a single point away.

In 4th place, Ioana, on 92 points. Before the last eights, only 9 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold. Ioana spent a good while in last place and climbed out of it.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Radu in 5th, with 89 points. The comfort zone. In the fourth of the middle eights: Radu called 4, took 7, and Mihai was left out in the cold. Before the last eights, only 9 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.

Cristian Imparat took last place without any nerves at all, on 72 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Cristian was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
