The comeback of Mara

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Alice finished 5th with 104 points. Alice said they'd take nothing in the seven-card hand on the way down... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Florentin in 4th, with 112 points. The comfort zone. In the third of the middle eights, Florentin bid 2 and took 7 — and Ilinca went down with it. After the two-card hand on the way up, Florentin was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, and on the podium: Ilinca, with 120 points. Ilinca was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. unf0rgettable, with 135 points. unf0rgettable was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Mara takes the game with 144 points and goes home happy. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 9 good hands in a row — at one point, Mara was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
