Ana, from start to finish

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 37 slips at the table and scores from 119 down to 49.

Ana took the game with 119 points and a 24-point cushion — never really in doubt. In front from the last of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. 9 good hands in a row — at one point, Ana was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.

Mihai took second with 95 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai.

Third, and on the podium: Elena, with 72 points. Elena left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Lucky took last place without any nerves at all, on 49 points. After the two-card hand on the way up, Lucky was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans. Lucky couldn't bear to look 3 times 🙈 — some cards are not meant to be seen.

Well played everyone — and especially Ana!
