The comeback of Ana

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Last place: Kiki, with 57 points. In the last of the opening eights: Kiki said 2, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Mihai. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Kiki didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Third, and on the podium: Mihai, with 70 points. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Mihai said and... hoped. It didn't hold. Mihai was even in front after the two-card hand on the way up.

Elena took second with 87 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Elena was even in front after the last of the middle eights.
