The comeback of Cosmin

The lead passed from hand to hand, 8 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Ana took last place without any nerves at all, on 66 points. Leading by the book until the six-card hand on the way down... then the cards turned the page. Ana, hard luck. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ana didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Olga completed the podium with 81 points. In the third of the closing eights: Olga called 0, took 3, and Ana was left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: only Olga slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Olga.

Mihai finished second, just 1 point short of the win. The place above was a single point away. From the tail of the table to a warm spot: Mihai plays right down to the last card.

Cosmin won by a whisker, with just 1 point — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. And that despite a slip in the very last hand.
