The comeback of Luis

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.
Daniel S took last place without any nerves at all, on 46 points. In the first of the middle eights: Daniel said 2, scooped 6, and Luis was left counting the pieces.
Third, on the podium: Kiki, up there with eyes on the top step. Kiki said they'd take nothing in the four-card hand on the way up... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite. The second of the closing eights: 2 chairs thrown at Kiki in seconds 🪑 — the table spoke its mind, furnished and all.
Emi finished second, just 2 points short of the win. Emi was even in front after the five-card hand on the way up. 10 good hands in a row — at one point, Emi was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
Luis won by a whisker, with just 2 points — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. 2 hands in a row: only Luis slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Luis. And that despite a slip in the very last hand. Luis cried laughing 5 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.
Well played everyone — and especially Luis!
