Ana never gave up the lead

The cards are back in the box. Here is what happened at the table.

Mihai took last place without any nerves at all, on 82 points. 13 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

In 5th place, Vlad, on 99 points. In the third of the closing eights, Vlad bid 0 and took 3 — and Ioana and Mihai went down with them.

Neither at the front nor at the back: Elena in 4th, with 101 points. The comfort zone. 3 hands in a row: Elena broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Third, and on the podium: Ioana, with 114 points. Ioana left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Radu took second with 124 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. Radu left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

Ana won at a stroll, with 158 points and 34 clear of the rest. In front from the fifth of the opening eights to the end, and nobody got close enough to worry about. At one stretch, 14 good hands in a row.

Well played everyone — and especially Ana!
