The comeback of Elena

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Claudiu closed the table from the back, on 75 points — there is always a next game. The table was Claudiu's after the last of the opening eights; the second half had other ideas.

Petru finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 85 points. In the five-card hand on the way up: Petru said 0, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Catalin.

In 4th place, GIBO, on 90 points. GIBO swore 0 in the three-card hand on the way up and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

Third, and on the podium: Catalin, with 121 points. 5 behind Daniela, 31 ahead of GIBO — right in the thick of it.

Daniela took the runner-up spot with 126 points. Daniela said they'd take nothing in the fourth of the opening eights... and took some. Whist listens, then does the opposite.

First place and peace of mind: Elena, with 136 points. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 15 good hands in a row — at one point, Elena was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
