The comeback of Ioana

Another evening at the green baize — a bit of everything, just like home.

Emi closes out the table, with 106 points. "Last one buys the coffee" — as they say at the table. 9 broken contracts, collected like stamps.

Mihai finishes right in the middle — neither hot nor cold — 5th, with 115 points. Mihai was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand. After the fourth of the closing eights, Mihai was 2nd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Ana finished 4th with 118 points. Ana got past Mihai at the very last hand. After the four-card hand on the way up, Ana was leading the table — but the last hands had other plans.

Third, on the podium: Radu, up there with eyes on the top step. Radu got past Mihai at the very last hand. Level on points with Elena, and behind only on the tie-break.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Elena, with 122 points. The last hand decided it: Elena went past Radu right on the line.

First place: Ioana, with 134 points.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
