edge takes the table

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 37 slips at the table and scores from 106 down to 51.

edge won by a whisker, with just 1 point — at whist even one point is as good as a mile. edge only went in front at the very last hand. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, edge said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Vyce finished second, just 1 point short of the win. Vyce was ahead of edge right up to the last hand. Vyce was even in front after the second of the closing eights.

Adell completed the podium with 65 points. 3 hands in a row: only Adell slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Adell.

Last, but with style: Elena, with 51 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. In the third of the middle eights: Elena said 1, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Vyce. After the six-card hand on the way up, Elena was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.
