The comeback of Daniela

The lead passed from hand to hand, 4 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Last place: Adell, with 41 points. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Adell didn't — but insisted, with dignity. After the two-card hand on the way up, Adell was 3rd and dreaming of the podium — but the last hands had other plans.

Luis rounds out the podium with 44 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. In the first of the closing eights, Luis bid 1 and took 5 — and Adell went down with it. Luis was even in front after the seven-card hand on the way down.

Vyce finished second, just 1 point short of the win. The place above was a single point away. 2 hands in a row: only Vyce slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Vyce.

1 point. That's all. Daniela won in the blink of an eye — so don't blink. In the second of the opening eights: Daniela said 2, scooped 6, and Adell was left counting the pieces. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
