Luis takes it in the closing rounds

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Luis crossed the finish line first, on 94 points. Luis only went in front at the very last hand. In the third of the closing eights: Luis said 3, made 6, and the evening was ruined for Elena.

Second place went to Mihai, with 88 points. In the last of the opening eights: Mihai called 1, took 5, and Ana and Elena were left out in the cold. Mihai was ahead of Luis right up to the last hand.

Ana completed the podium with 77 points. The last hand decided it: Ana went past Elena right on the line.

Last, but with style: Elena, with 72 points. At least there were cards worth talking about. Top of the table after the last of the opening eights, then straight to the bottom. The plan at home didn't match the one at the table. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Elena didn't — but insisted, with dignity.
