The comeback of PaulP

A game of broken contracts — 34 of them around the table, and scores from 94 all the way down to 84.

Last place, with dignity: Alice, with 84 points. Somebody had to do it. Level on points with unf0rgettable, and behind only on the tie-break. Alice was ahead of unf0rgettable right up to the last hand.

unf0rgettable rounds out the podium with 84 points. Bronze still counts as a medal. The last hand decided it: unf0rgettable went past Alice right on the line. 2 hands in a row: unf0rgettable broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Alina finishes second, 8 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. Alina swore 0 in the four-card hand on the way down and took a trick — whist has a sense of humour.

PaulP comes out on top of everyone, with 94 points. The cards were kind. PaulP was even last after the four-card hand on the way down, which makes the win all the sweeter. And that despite a slip in the very last hand. PaulP cried laughing 6 times 😂 — the cheapest entertainment at the table.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
