The lead kept changing — Luis came out on top

The lead passed from hand to hand, 5 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Last place: Mihai, with 82 points. In the third of the opening eights: Mihai said 1, made 5, and the evening was ruined for Ana. Before the last eights, only 6 points off the podium — the pace just didn't hold.

Third, on the podium: Ionela, up there with eyes on the top step. Ionela was ahead of Ana right up to the last hand. 2 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ionela didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Runner-up sounds good — gold sounded better. Ana, with 91 points. Ana got past Ionela at the very last hand. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ana said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

First place, no appeal: Luis, with 100 points.

Congratulations to all — see you at the next table!
