Vyce takes it in the closing rounds

An evening with a bit of everything, except contracts kept: 38 slips at the table and scores from 100 down to 19.

First place: Vyce, with 100 points. The rest, see you in the replay. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Vyce said and... hoped. It didn't hold. At one stretch, 12 good hands in a row.

Mihai finishes second, 5 points short of gold. Silver shines, but not quite the same. 2 hands in a row: only Mihai slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Mihai. Mihai was even in front after the six-card hand on the way up.

Third, on the podium: Luis, up there with eyes on the top step. Level on points with Mihai, and behind only on the tie-break.

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 19 points. In the last of the opening eights: Ionela called 0, took 3, and Luis was left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: Ionela broke the contract each time while everyone else made theirs.

Well played everyone. Same table next time?
