The comeback of Adell

The lead passed from hand to hand, 6 times over — it was anyone's guess.

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 52 points. Started like a champion — top of the table after the last of the opening eights — and finished like a tragedy. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ionela said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Luis completed the podium with 82 points. In the last of the middle eights: Luis called 0, took 3, and Adell and Ionela were left out in the cold. 2 hands in a row: only Luis slipped, while the rest said it and did it. The cards were kind to everyone but Luis. Luis cried laughing 4 times 😂 — a fun evening, at least on one side of the table.

Vyce finished second, just 1 point short of the win. In the last of the closing eights, Vyce bid 0 and took 3 — and Luis went down with it. Vyce was ahead of Adell right up to the last hand.

Adell won with 96 points, by a whisker: just 1 point ahead. Adell only went in front at the very last hand. It didn't start well — only 3rd after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there.

Well played everyone — and especially Adell!
