Mihai wins the evening

Another evening at the green baize — a bit of everything, just like home.

Ana took last place without any nerves at all, on 58 points. 3 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ana said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Third, and on the podium: Kiki, with 98 points. Kiki was ahead of Elena right up to the last hand. Kiki was even in front after the last of the opening eights.

Elena took second with 99 points — a fine evening, but the gods of whist were busy elsewhere. The last hand decided it: Elena went past Kiki right on the line. In the first of the opening eights, Elena bid 2 and took 5 — and Ana went down with it.

Mihai wins by 20 clear. That's not whist any more, it's a parade with a brass band. At one stretch, 15 good hands in a row.
