The comeback of Luis

A game of broken contracts — 34 of them around the table, and scores from 106 all the way down to 57.

Ionela took last place without any nerves at all, on 57 points. Leading by the book until the last of the opening eights... then the cards turned the page. Ionela, hard luck. 2 hands in a row: the table said and did, Ionela said and... hoped. It didn't hold.

Third, on the podium: Ana, up there with eyes on the top step. 3 hands in a row: the whole table kept its word, only Ana didn't — but insisted, with dignity.

Mihai led for 11 hands but finished second, 6 points behind. Mihai left the robot at the wheel most of the evening and still came out respectable. Teamwork with the server.

First place, no appeal: Luis, with 106 points. It didn't start well — only 4th after the opening eights — but it clearly didn't end there. 11 good hands in a row — at one point, Luis was playing as if they could see everyone else's cards.
